Layer Management

Layers are an essential feature in pixel art creation, allowing you to draw and manage different elements separately.

Creating Layers

  1. Tap the "+" button in the layer panel
  2. The new layer is added above the current layer
  3. Name the layer for easy management

Layer Operations

Show/HideTap the eye icon on the left of the layer
ReorderLong-press and drag a layer to reorder
MergeSelect two adjacent layers and tap merge
DuplicateLong-press a layer and select duplicate
DeleteLong-press a layer and select delete
Adjust OpacityTap a layer and adjust the opacity slider

Layer Tips

  • Line art layer: Keep outlines on a separate layer for easy editing
  • Color layer: Place color fills below the line art layer
  • Shadow layer: Put shadows on a separate layer and adjust opacity for soft effects
  • Background layer: Place the background at the bottom, separate from the main content

Frame-by-Frame Animation

Breeze Pixel Studio supports frame-by-frame animation to bring your pixel art to life!

Creating Animation

  1. Complete the first frame in the editor
  2. Tap "+" in the bottom frame panel to add a new frame
  3. The new frame copies the previous frame by default
  4. Modify the parts that need to change in the new frame
  5. Repeat until the animation is complete

Animation Settings

Onion Skin Feature

Onion skin is a powerful animation tool:

  • Enable onion skin: Tap the onion skin button in the frame panel
  • Previous frame reference: Semi-transparent display of the previous frame for alignment
  • Next frame reference: Semi-transparent display of the next frame for preview
  • Adjust opacity: Customize the transparency of reference frames

Exporting GIF

Export your animation as a GIF when finished:

  1. Tap the export button in the editor
  2. Select "Export GIF"
  3. Adjust export settings (size, frame rate)
  4. Tap confirm to export
  5. Save locally or publish directly to the community
