Layer Management
Layers are an essential feature in pixel art creation, allowing you to draw and manage different elements separately.
Creating Layers
- Tap the "+" button in the layer panel
- The new layer is added above the current layer
- Name the layer for easy management
Layer Operations
| Operation | Description |
|---|---|
| Show/Hide | Tap the eye icon on the left of the layer |
| Reorder | Long-press and drag a layer to reorder |
| Merge | Select two adjacent layers and tap merge |
| Duplicate | Long-press a layer and select duplicate |
| Delete | Long-press a layer and select delete |
| Adjust Opacity | Tap a layer and adjust the opacity slider |
Layer Tips
- Line art layer: Keep outlines on a separate layer for easy editing
- Color layer: Place color fills below the line art layer
- Shadow layer: Put shadows on a separate layer and adjust opacity for soft effects
- Background layer: Place the background at the bottom, separate from the main content
Frame-by-Frame Animation
Breeze Pixel Studio supports frame-by-frame animation to bring your pixel art to life!
Creating Animation
- Complete the first frame in the editor
- Tap "+" in the bottom frame panel to add a new frame
- The new frame copies the previous frame by default
- Modify the parts that need to change in the new frame
- Repeat until the animation is complete
Animation Settings
| Setting | Description |

| Frame Rate (FPS) | Frames per second, 8-12 FPS recommended |
| Loop Mode | Play once / Loop / Bounce |
| Onion Skin | Show semi-transparent reference of adjacent frames |
Onion Skin Feature
Onion skin is a powerful animation tool:
- Enable onion skin: Tap the onion skin button in the frame panel
- Previous frame reference: Semi-transparent display of the previous frame for alignment
- Next frame reference: Semi-transparent display of the next frame for preview
- Adjust opacity: Customize the transparency of reference frames
Exporting GIF
Export your animation as a GIF when finished:
- Tap the export button in the editor
- Select "Export GIF"
- Adjust export settings (size, frame rate)
- Tap confirm to export
- Save locally or publish directly to the community
